Bond #19: The World is Not Enough

**YOU ARE NOW ENTERING SPOILERTOWN**

Plot: Renard kidnaps and kills!…. I mean Elektra seduces!…. I mean….blow up Istanbul!….right? Anyone??

Foiled by: Bond, somehow, pieces everything together and realizes he was getting honey potted. He shoots that cold-hearted bitch and blows up the sub before it can nuke Istanbul.

Intriguing Setting(s): Azerbaijan | Istanbul

Bond: Pierce Brosnan

Villain(s):

  • Victor Zokas aka Renard, terrorist for hire
  • But really…..

Bond Girl(s):

  • Elektra King – turns out the damsel was the one causing the distress
  • Christmas Jones – “I thought Christmas only came once a year.”
  • Dr. Molly Warmflash – It’s like they’re not even trying anymore with these character names.

HL’s Hot Take: Some of the most fetching Bond girls, but a convoluted plot and a bit too much going on for its own good. Ultimately just a “let’s steal some nukes and blow up something important so we can be rich” flick with a lot of seduction and subterfuge mixed in.
